ƒ/5.6 lens... but i find it really interesting to work with the high FOV and perspective, like the one you have in the picture here... im just wondering if there's a different way to combine the high FOV from a longer zoom and the low FOV from a shorter one... (for example i really don't like to use something like a 16-35mm on a 50-500mm lens because i think the FOV is much too long)... or is there really a standard to how wide the photos should be??? (because when i look at photos done with the 50-500mm i get really "disconnected" from the world and i think they look... strange...) The wide angle shots look great to me. So it is not necessarily about the lens. I use 50mm. I don't like wide angle lens much. It is really good for architecture, and wide view. I do like 3 wide shots at a time. That is usually what I do. You don't have to use wide angle. That was only an example. You can do a lot of things in photography. If you are talented you will be able to do it. There are no standard ways to do things. There is only the best way for you. What I will suggest is to go out and take pictures. Take pictures with the wide angle. If you are using a tripod you can use a wide angle but you will have to figure out how to get the sharpest picture with the widest lens you can use. Most of the time the sharpest shots are with a 50mm. This is part of my "blogging". I do not know if it is a "blog" but it is my thoughts. I am writing for my own benefit. I hope it helps others learn. When you take the picture, you must do so at the right time and with the right camera. If you want to learn more, you must do more than I can tell you. You will have to read and learn to do what you want to do. I would suggest looking for a wide angle lens. Try a 16mm.
